Aquired a Micromax 550D - How do I use?

A uni flat mate has left me his Micromax 550d which we used to use to watch Sat TV, however he has gone back to Poland and sold the rather large dish to one of his fellow countrymen.

I have the cables but no dish.

Any help would be greatful as I am at a loss what to do
