Hi, I recently received my
Sky Freesat viewing card, but the software on my Panasonic box is too old to accept the card.
I'm in South West England using the standard mini dish, signal quality is showing around 80% and I can view all the FTA channels, however the "transport stream" is showing 07fd instead of 07d4 which is apparently what I should be getting.
When I try to run a force update the receiver sits on the "updating" screen for a bit, but once finished the sw version has not updated.
Sky suggested it could be a dish alignment issue, but I'm a little reluctant to start moving it since I have a reasonable signal quality and it's a rather time consuming operation.
If I take the box to my dad's house (where he has a dish which was aligned by a
Sky installer), am I likely to have more success in updating the software, and should I be ok to continue using my dish as it is, without re-aligning it?
