My System: None yet!

I got "sorted" in the worst possible way! A large and well-respected firm eventually came up with one (yeah - a whole ONE!) of their guys who is an "expert" in motorised installs. So Mr Expert turns up and tells me that a tree will prevent me getting H-to-H coverage. Yes - I had noticed the tree so just put the system up and I will decide if I really want to settle for what I can get or if some tree-surgery is called for...

To cut a long story short, he gives me some BS about my brand-new and tested receiver being duff (and promptly does several factory resets, even though I told hime I'd paid extra to have it pre-programmed with every satellite up there). Then he climbs up on the roof with no boards and smashes several tiles, decides to erect a fixed dish that he just happens to have with him and then discovers that there's a big problem and none of my THREE receivers will get a signal.

So he leaves my dish "pointing at Turksat" and takes my receiver off to be "tested". As soon as he's gone, I whip out my ladder and take a shufti; it's obvious that the dish is pointing at Mother Earth so I realign it on Turksat and all of my 2 remaining receivers spring into life.

I realign it myself on the main sat I actually wanted in the first place and no problem...except my new receiver is being "fixed". I complained to the company about the "service" I'd received so far and the receiver duly reappears with another large gent who gives me a bill for 200 notes. Some very unhappy emails to the company result in a very apologetic response from a Director, assuring me that the situation is being taken very seriously and that he will respond fully within 24 hours. I guess his clock has stopped, since that was about 8weeks ago.....

And do you know how ridiculously difficult it is to find the old pattern tiles - and how much it's rained in the past few weeks?
