The key is to download and install the Elecard MPEG-2 codec.

To watch 4:2:2 streams, tune into the stream in DVBViewer with the help of their Transedit software. This allows you to specify the tuning parameters and then add that transponder to DVBViewer's transponder list.

Start up DVBViewer, scan the new transponder and select the 4:2:2 channel you want to watch.

Go to Options...DirectX and select the Elecard codec as the MPEG-2 codec. This should give you pictures from the stream.

I've successfully watched Tipperary beat Cork in the hurling this afternoon thanks to being able to tune into the 4:2:2 streams on Thor!
Good for you You could also try FFdshow, Entymonix, and Dscaler, they will all display a 4:2:2 signal.
