Not true, once you have started the subscription, the equipment remains yours.
Sky do not want it back under any circumstances (they will take the full years subscription and install charges from your bank though if you default within the first year).

Astra 2 is positioned at 28.2 East, in Holland the sun is in a similar position at around 11/11.30 am.
