Stage 13 VITTEL to COLMAR, 200 km
Today's stage 13 in the Vosege mountains was one by Heinrich Haussler (who spent his early years in Australia). The Cervelo rider finished four minutes and 11 seconds ahead of Euskaltel's Amets Txurruka, after a 200km ride in pouring rain from Vittel that included 5 mountain climbs including the category one ascent of the Platzerwasel.
Franco Pelizotti took the polka dot jersey from Egoi Martinez after taking 12 points for fifth on the final climb of the day while Thor Hushovd retakes the green jersey from Mark Cavendish after finishing 6th in the stage.
There is no change to the yellow jersey although since Levi Leipheimer's retirement owing to a fractured wrist Bradley Wiggings is now in 4th place.

Stage 14 is COLMAR to BESANÇON , 199 km and has a few hills but has a fairly flat finish that may seem Mark Cavendish try to win a few intermediate sprints as well as the stage win to retake the green jersey. |
