French Public Channels on Hot Bird 13E

France 2, 3, 4, 5 and Ô have joined the French ABSat package on Hot Bird at 13 degrees east.
Frequencies 11,681 H and 12,692 H
 These public TV channels are available on all ABSat smartcard options.

These channels are available today as part of TPS package (but not for long) which has a much better bitrate signals than ABSat.

The channel Musique Classique is no longer included in this package.
Not that they were worth much, but still it is an indication of the lack of culture channels on satellites.

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.

While prices are great for absat, their choice of music channels very limited. Only Virgin 17. If they'll be able to toss 2 or 3 more music channels (tele melody, mcm pop or similar ones), I'd definetly buy a sub.

Not a chance that is going to happen.
I was very disappointed with the video and audio quality on all the channels when I made the mistake of buying ABsat smartcard several years ago.
Suggest to consider Canal Sat instead, if you can pickup all their TP's on Astra 19.2E

Just checked. The channel is still there as it is sending EPG, but it looks like it has become encrypted.
