Adult Smartcards Share

Just an idea, based on if for example 12 people buy 12 bestseller books at the same time from the same bookshop and each one pays for just one book.
Each one keeps the book for one month and then they exchange the other books over the next 11 months.
By the end of the year, they have all read 12 books and paid for only one book, and I am sure that you would all agree that it is perfectly legal.
This can also be done between a family members and/or their relatives.
The snag in this example is at the exchange period. If they are all at school or at work at the same company, then it is quite easy since they can do it during their lunch break.

So let's say there are 4 people who would buy 4 different smartcards and each one keeps one card for a period of 3 months at the end of which they exchange the other 3 over the next 9 months using an agreed method like meeting or sending by registered post.
By the end of the year, they would all have enjoyed 12 months of viewing with 4 different smartcards and paid only for 1 card.
I came up with this idea since the providers don't sell a one month smartcard and they have usually a 12 months subscription or in some cases for 6 months at a higher price than half the price for the 12 months option.
The reason that the providers don't sell a one month smartcard is simply because they have a certain playlist of films and they just transmit endless repeats and so over a period of 2 to 3 months they would have transmitted almost all the films, except perhaps for the occasional NEW film.
The 4 people would have to make sure that their equipments have the correct CAM support for all the four different smatcards and their dishes pointing to the same satellites.
Also it would be best if they are from the same location (country) so that the posting period is minimal.
The problem in this method is that the price of the smartcards is not the same, so the four people would need to make a time share schedule based on the actual prices.
For example the prices are 50, 100, 150 and 200 pounds.
See if you can come up with a way to sort this out without paying any money to each others to compensate for the difference in the prices.

Your opinions please and let us see if you can think of any problems and snags with this, except perhaps one or more providers might stop transmitting because of this idea.

I only gave an idea, not as a potential subscriber.
Which package has this, just out of curiosity.
Apart from this, what other problems do you see in general?

I was joking about the movie. But it would seem better to clone the cards. In your view, is this possible.

Actually not as good as I thought at the time I wrote this post.
Topper has wisely given all the reasons in post #5
Might be good between friends or family members living nearby.

I perefer DVD sharing instead of renting. This way you get to keep all the original DVDs among friends and family instead of giving it back to Blockbuster.
For example, I would love to buy all the Seinfeld series available and share it with few friends.
