I think the key I tried was on on 7 deg but it failed - I am not sure if that's because I entered the key wrong or if the keys have changed

Could the key belong to another transmission of this channel

The key was a nagravision key

Nagra isnt any good to you - the 7E Digiturk channels use Cryptoworks & Irdeto 2!
