RE: Pace receiver.

First of all: if you intend to use this Pace receiver to watch Sky (which is transmitted encrypted under Videocrypt) be aware that not all Pace MSS 100 models include a Videocrypt decoder.

Second, you can still subscribe to Sky analogue (I think!) but they now intend to stop the service mid-2001. So is it worth it?

Third, GBP 50 is cheap for a receiver plus dish. Having said that, many people are selling old analogue receivers alone for next to nothing, as they switch to digital.
Have a look in Loot

Finally, whether a 60cm dish is sufficient to receive Astra1 signals is dependent on your location. In Scotland, for example, you would need larger. Check out the footprint info at http://www.lyngsat.com.
