My System: Newbie to Satellite! PC - 2.4 Ghz Quad Core!

i was given them but i have no need for them, the amstrad switches on and i have the remote to it that works, it also comes with like a small box scart thing for the back of it, but i dont have satellite so cant test it,
and the pace dont seem to switch on, but i do have the remote for that but obviously cant test the remote because the receiver itself isn't turning on,
thought i'd ask if they could be of any use, and looks like a big NO! lol!

The small box thing with the amstrad sounds like a tone inserter for use with universal LNBs, could be of use to someone still watching analogue...

As for the pace, it'll make a nice doorstop...

well on this small box thing is says 'ADX plus', Global Communications UK,
its got a connection which says 'LNB', one below which says 'REC' and below that it has a very small wire coming out which has a scart lead at the end of it and a flick switch on the opposite side which you can switch off and on, is that what you mean?

My System: Triple Dragon with HDD/USB stick, Dreambox 8000, Humax HDCI2000, Echostar AD3000ip & SR8700, Aston Simba, RSD ODM300. Swedish Microwave 1.2 Motorised dish / Invacom C120 twin LNB driven by the AD3000. 3 other fixed dishes.

Fighting the evil 3 Dragons under the Don Quixote banner,Sir Llew persevered where others failed

It was used in STB's with a restricted range of local oscillator frequencies such as your box.

It downconverted the LNB's LO frequency by 500 MHz to allow the reception of the higher band channels of the 'new' Astra 1D satellite.

The scart lead had a wire that, when plugged into an STB, switched the ADX on to downconvert the frequencies. Provided the STB had been set up in the LNB options to switch only to those higher channels.

I used one on my old Echostar SR8700 Analogue receiver, using the 12V o/p for this purpose.
