My System: AMSTRAD SRX 300
Is AMSTRAD SRX 300 analogue system?

Like to know if AMSTRAD SRX 300 receiver is still can be useful. I had used this system long time before. Now like to try it out again. The receiver is running when powered ON. The LNB came with the receiver has Input frequency range 0.95 to 11.70 GHz, output frequency range 950 to 1700MHz, local oscillator: 10 GHz, Gain: 53 dB, Noise 1.6dB/1.8dB, Polarisation switching: Electrical etc. The dish of the systems has been destroyed

If it can be still useful, plz tell me ASAP from which satellite can the receiver receiver the signal and the measurement of the dish to be installed.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

It is an analogue receiver from the very early days, using a single band LNB, unless you have analogue channels available within that frequency range, it is only good for the tip.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

It can still be used, but the frequencies will all be 250 MHz out if you use a modern lnb on it.

Heres some info I put together a while back when I got to play with an old Amstrad

The channel list will be a bit out of date, but most of them are still there.

Your best bet is to try and get the channels on Astra 1 at 19E - theres stil a good few available on there.

Oh Thank you Analoguesat. Sorry to reply so lately. Well, I guess we can only watch the German channels from this old AMSTRAD SRX 300 recevier. Can I receive the channel like ZeeSmile TV or other FTA channels from it. Or do I need to go digital to receive those FTA channels these days?

If you are in Nepal as your profile says then you are way out of range of the Astra 1 channels. Theres probably nothing left in analogue in your area..

You will need a digital receiver to watch the fta channels like Zee Smile and a dish pointing at Insat 4B at 93.5E for that particular channel
