FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S ![]() The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue | SES Astra will terminate analogue TV distribution on its satellite system in three years’ time at the latest. “Astra will say goodbye to the phase-out model of analogue television by the end of 2012,” writes Wolfgang Elsäßer, managing director of Astra Deutschland, in the cover letter of the September edition of the company’s newsletter Astra aktuell. “The way will then be free for television that’s new, more advanced and appropriate for the 21st century.” _http://www.rapidtvnews.com/index.php/200909234792/astra-to-pull-analogue-plug-in-2012.html

Swedish Microwave 1.2 Motorised dish / Invacom C120 twin LNB driven by the AD3000. 3 other fixed dishes. ![]() Fighting the evil 3 Dragons under the Don Quixote banner,Sir Llew persevered where others failed | Seems a short timescale considering the number of national and local stations transmitting in analogue on 19E. I'm sure that'll upset a few diehard analogue receiver owners in Germany.

In the home the split is about 74/26% digital/analogue now.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me. | Slightly O/T on the specifics, but still broadly the same subject: Have there been any discernible rumblings about the French Analogues on 5W?

Nor me. | Just measured SWMBO's and it is 69cm high * 64cm wide Takes a 6 degree Monoblock nicely. (And before the purists witter, I know there are two bolts in a mortar course, but they were pre-existing and my risk assessment was that the loading would be insufficient to cause problems given that the other two are in engineering brick!)
