My System: Pace analogue system SkyHD system
Pace analogue receiver system

I own one of the original Sky anologue satellite boxes (Pace) and despite having upgraded to Sky HD have kept my analogue system to watch German channels. When I switched on today there was no output signal. The Pace set seems to be working OK. Has there been a change to the satellite in recent weeks or maybe I have a problem with my Dish/LNB. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to receive German channels on a Sky HD system? I am a relative novice to this technology and any advice would be much appreciated

My System: Mostly gathering dust cos I'm a lazy git. Porty dish face blew off the mount, not too pleased...

The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken!

Wrong place to post, but the mods'll sort that out...

Anyway, first of all, have you checked all connections (scart, RF, LNB, etc) to make sure nothing's come loose?

Also, what model Pace have you got?

And finally, a HD box should pick up some of the german FTA Digital channels, but not analogue, if it's anything like it's SD predecessors...

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

The most common problem with Pace analogue receivers is for the power supply to go, normally accompanied by a ticking sound. The solution in that case is changing a few capacitors, or buying a secondhand analogue receiver, probably the latter being easier.
