I admire your enthusiasm but I fear eventually analogue will be no more. This is a bit of a shame for those of us who were first introduced to the system in the 80s and learned to love it. I'll miss it when it's gone completely.

Great site, by the way. thanks for the link.

Sadly it looks like 2 analogue channels are to be lost in the next month. 1-2-3.tv are going at the end of June, and M2 on 13E are to go in July as well.....

That is a shame but sadly a further indication of the way things are going.

I wonder what will be gone next?

Looks like its Telemedial/Primetime on 19Eat the end of August. If Ive translated the German correctly their time slot on 10714 will be taken by Astro and 11023 will be vacated and no doubt digitalised.

My System: I own a old Amstrad analogue dish and receiver

Hi All
Just a quick question with regard to BRITISH Eurosport etc on Analogue.
I have an Amstrad Dish and receiver to pick up BRITISH Eurosport, MTV etc. but the other day I lost all my channels. I could not tell you which satelitte I am tuned to or its frequency so does anyone know if it has been turned off or moved and do I need to get my dish/receiver retuned. My local TV installers don't know if things have moved/changed.
Any info would be much appreciated in solving this problem as I will miss the coverage of the WRC Rally of Great Britain this coming weekend if I don't get it sorted soon.

Cheers for now

Analogue receivers have a couple of years life left in them - final switch off is in 2012 .

British Eurosport has never been carried in analogue - the one on 19E is Eurosport International for the German market.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Yes, Eurosport International is still transmitting in Analogue on 19.2E with English Language Audio.

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.

I use analogue receiver with C band LNB directly aimed to local TV Tower - getting relay transmissions of main channels to regions

My System: star-sat SR-X5D Receiver Premium X LNB 120" Dish Computer system: AMD Atlon XP 64 x2 6400+ Black Edition 4GB DDR2 Bus 800 RAM MB: Asus Crosshair 750 GB Seagate Barracuda 32 MB cache 22" LCD Widescreen Samsung 226BW SB Platinum Pro.

With analogue receivers you can get 10 to 15 Turkish channels from Iran. What I say am not sure for now, but for last year or 2 years ago it was ok.
