CNN leaving 19E analogue?

There are some nasty rumours around that CNN is ceasing analogue off 19E on 4th June. Anyone got any definite info??

Sad news indeed, but still available in C-band on Badr-C for the die-hard analog enthusiast. I can't get it there because my analog tuner can't handle the inverse video used on C-band but perhaps others are luckier. Badr-C is very strong here and a 120cm prime focus dish is enough to pick it up.

That's very true, but losing the Analogue version is one more nail in the Analogue satellite coffin...

My System: Dreambox with PLi-Emerald 1.09 image, Matrix revolution CAS, newcamd emu, movable dish 0.85 m, very happy indeed

losing one analogue channel means gaining 10-15 new digital channels !
as channel space is very scarce on 19E, I can only welcome such a move .......

Yes, I'm sure at least 15 more phone-sex promo channels with semi-lousy picture quality will fit in there nicely...

On the other hand a couple of nice HD-channels could fill each shutdown analog transponder void too.

Guess we will soon know, my point was that quantity isn't always a substitute for quality. The new content to come may also be encrypted and thus providing little joy for most people.

I can gladly admit that I hardly watch any analogue sat-TV but from time to time it feels good to dig out the PAL/D2MAC box and enjoy an evening or two with "real TV"
