| I ve got one of them lying about in the shed. Amazing that the whole of the analogue industry was decimated by one simple advance in technology | ||

Blog Entries: 1 My System: Triple Dragon with HDD/USB stick, Dreambox 8000, Humax HDCI2000, Echostar AD3000ip & SR8700, Aston Simba, RSD ODM300. Swedish Microwave 1.2 Motorised dish / Invacom C120 twin LNB driven by the AD3000. 3 other fixed dishes. ![]() Fighting the evil 3 Dragons under the Don Quixote banner,Sir Llew persevered where others failed | Needing a positioner for my Aston Simba, and not inclined to shell out for an interface for my actuator, I unearthed my old SR7600 (precursor to the LT, same power supply). Being cheesed off with the vagaries of my AD3000's relay-driven positioner, I now use the SR7600 for driving the dish, which together with its solid-state motor drive and excellent auto-peaking is far superior to the (at least my) AD3000. Don't care about having to operate two STB's - as long as it hits the sat dead on every time I don't need to bother with manually fine tune any more. Thanks Burnham Beech for pointing us to the circuit diagram - it would have been handy to have had that info some time ago when I managed to locate a faulty pair of diodes after much head scratching. That caged power supply tended to overheat over time. | ||
