Like those english religious types of the circ., 19th century who bestowed the word "fall" onto the promised land (USA) - while back home in england we had dumped it in favo(u)r of the word autumn,

I say,

"Hipper-tee-hip" (hoorah), "Hipper-tee-hip" (hoorah), "Hipper-tee-hip" (hoorah).

As you know, in england these days (when we can muster it) we only say "hip-hip" (hoorah) x3.

Strange beasts the english, and good on you for getting so close to 10,000 posts :-) I still have 9,976 to go.

Do you get Air-Miles ? Where's Zansi when you need him !

Don't get upset. I thougth that you were a moderator ? In context, I was asking whether 2old could claim for Air-Miles - from the moderator - for slogging-out over 1000 decent and knowledgable posts !

But, I cannot thank you for ruining the thread of praise for 2old. If you are the moderator - could erase this 'sub'.

Kind of spoils the event; even if I missed the event by a number of days - pooh :-(
