How many chanels should appeare if i install hotbird ??

~ 1400 total services (Radio, TV and Data)
Mostly encrypted, but there are a lot of FTA channels

My System: hotbird arabsat computer is an ordinary desk top PC

I am about to get Hotbird installed so that I can get the Arabic channels can anyone advise me if this is the correct thing to do or is there another satellite that I should be connected to? I would value any assistance in this

Plenty of Arabic channels on Hotbird 13e.

In the UK Hotbird is the best satellite slot for Arabic language channels. There are quite a few on there transmitting in the clear,

Also they have the Arabesque subscription package which you might find interesting, as quite frankly, the FTA Arabic channels are not that interesting.
Just make sure your receiver has a Viaccess CAM support.
