Will HD bring rebirth of hand held TV's

I used to have a small casio hand held tv, with a screen about 2.5 inches and it was very disappointing, the resolution pretty poor. which is probably why so few were sold. With arrival of HD maybe they will finally become popular or will Tv direct to mobiles be the way forward.

Perhaps, but competing with video ipods and mp3 players (which might get DVBT TV ad ons at some point I imagine) the dedicated portable TV might not be any more popular than they were 10 years ago.

LOL you gave me an idea.. *off to find curcuit diagram for casio handheld *

but on another note.. i doubt these will come back, seeing as these days you can buy a built in tv for your car, Truck, caravan etc... and also with the much hyped "tv on mobile" i dont think there is a market for anything else..

I've never understood the attraction of watching a dvd on a mobile device.

Does anyone do it? I want to watch a DVD on a huge screen with surround sound. Any other situation where I could watch a film on a small screen I'll either try to sleep or read a book: car, plane, train.
