Anyone having lip-sync delay on their fancy tv?

Now onto my 2nd 'big' tv, this time a Samsung F96 52" LCD.

Lovely pic, but still many digi channels (terrestrial) have a lip-sync delay, maybe just a few millisecs, but it may as well be 2 minutes it is so annoying. Some channels are defo' worse than others though.

Spent a lot of money on the beastie too. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone else want to throttle the techs who allowed this flaw?

Mmm

Well the first thing I would check is the quality of your signal via your aerial, if the TV has been factory setup using a stonking great signal and you are on marginal reception then lip sync problems can occur owing to the digital signal recovery systems trying to reconstruct a complete signal. I have a USB stick freeview receiver on my PC and when I had poor signal I also had lip sync problems.

cheers, yes the signal I have is pretty good. So that leaves me no closer to satisfaction than dreaming of throttling their technicians

Well

In fairness I think a little more information regarding exactly which channels may shed some light on the situation as I suspect you are on Winter Hill and I have noticed there are some very weak transmissions on certain channels in some areas, also there is upgrade work taking place constantly it would appear.
Have you tried contacting the manufacturers about the problem?
Or have you spoken to the retail outlet that sold you the 'beastie'?
