Lost Multi Region

Can anyone help?,
My Pioneer LX60 dvd recorder was multi region when i bought it(originally region 2).I had to install new firmware from the pioneer website and was a bit worried that i would lose my multi region hack.I installed the firmware from the cd and then checked if it was multi region straight away and it was. That was about 2 weeks ago,now for some reason it wont play my region 1 discs it just spits them out and says incompatable region or something like that.Has anyone any knowledge as to why it has done this, and more importantly how to get the multi region hack back?.Just to mention i have a one for all 10 remote which i programmed up to operate the machine but have the original remote as well,i just like to have everything on one remote.I have include this info in case there is any connection with the sudden problem.Any help would be much appreciated.

multi region

hello,
i have a panasonic that was only 1 region as well. the tech. loaded the other region code with the remote and made it region free.
there is probally a code to set with the original remote to make it multiregion.
i sugest you check with a pioneer repair service to see if they can give you the code and you can set it up with the remote.
there may also be a softwere that makes it multiregion. or the option you loaded went to the defaut and to one and the other region is there but not activated.

You may have more success with a web search. I'd expect the manufacturer to follow an official "can't be done" line.
