How do I record on VHS a programme with subtitles(usually in the teletext mode). I find the text is never recorded.

Blog Entries: 5 My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser. | I'm not sure that you can, as the teletext is overlaid by the TV, whether you could try it from the scart out on the TV is another matter, but I don't think that it would work.

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100 | I don't think VHS has enough definition to record teletext - it didn't work properly when I tried a few years go. Possible an S-VHS recorder might although I haven't got one to try.

You can still find them - JVC did a cheap recorder - VHS is a dying format I'm afraid.

Sony G800 HD TV stand/surround system + Sony KDL40W2000. Infinity USB, Elvis, CAS1, CAS2. | S-VHS usually forms the video half of a video/dvd combi. They are still being produced.
