DIY home cinema projector

Hello all,

This is a link to instructions on how to build your own "home cinema" projector. The information is 100% free, although you will (of course) need parts. I am not in any way connected with the site in question - however it is a respected US "hands on" tech site. At the end of the instructions there is a link to download an instructional video - although I do not have broadband, so I have not done this - but it seems to be free also.

Here is the link:

Apologies if anyone has already posted this.

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Wow, I think I might be able to find a use for my dead laptop display, it works except for the backlight.

I'll move this up into the AV forum, as it may interest a few of our members.

I can understand that being very popular but not a very nice object to have lying around your lounge, however a further benefit being it will also provide room heating as well.
