That's a bit odd, coz today on the Latest News section of the BigL web site the following item appeared:

In the wake of Big L's amazing Rajar figures (leading the UK in average listener hours for the last quarter), 2008 has got off to a flying start with the station's on-line figures growing at 10% and 6% for January and February respectively.

The post Christmas period is often a difficult time in the industry but Big L's dedication to delivering the best programmes for its listeners, has seen it successfully navigate these tricky months.

These figures come on top of the station's steady growth of 10% per month since August 2007. The growth has also been reflected in an up-turn in revenue.

An "up-turn in revenue" doen't necessarily mean that they're bringing in enough to pay the rent, of course.

Paul.

MusFlash was removed from 375 this morning - they appear to be having technical problems as they had been radiating a test card for the last day or so.

I seem to recollect that they were in trouble a year or so back when Harvey Goldsmith featured the station in his TV series where he tried to help people/businesses get back into making money. As I recall they didn't take his advice.

According to Biz Asia the channel is now called Brit Asia TV and will launch Monday 10th March. Do you have a working frequency for this channel mate as the one posted above just gives me BBC interactive streams?

There will be more epg shuffles over the summer. Broadcasters have been contacted / notified of changes to the "Listing Methodology"

Lifestyle & Culture: 240-300
Music: 350-394
Shopping: 640-699
Gaming: 860-874
Dating: 875-879 (? - seems to be wrong as this would mean this section is already full!)

Channels in other genres (which aren't changing) will also be squeezed up to fill gaps.

This is to allow for continuing demand for epg slot, and basically means all the gaps will be removed.

Doordarshan News will not be returning. They went off air last month citing "technical glitches" but the epg slot has been sold to another broadcaster which plans to launch in April

Brit Asia (the new name for Punjabi World) is now trade testing on 12480V 27500 2/3 tagged as 12081

At the moment only video is present - no audio.... The picture quality is poor - its over compressed and pixellates badly on fast moving scenes.
