Your credit card is used for the payment. Card arrives and is sent by your relative to you in the uk. You place it in your digibox and give your relative the details of the box, serial no etc. He/She then rings sky saying card has arrived and could they please activate it. Activation signal is sent and your channels come on! No problem using 2 sky subs in the same house, just have to have an LNB with more than one input. Does your Dad have Sky+? regards D. My System: PACE 430 (Radio Reception only to feed a SKY Gnome), PACE 3100 (PVR 2.5), ROI SKY 6 mixes, Technomate TM-1500 CI+, TM-6900 HD, 100 cm Triax (Sky), 80 cm Nokia with Motec SG-2100. MacBook and that's that. | Hi Nitefire, I'm not trying to wind you up or to start an argument, but why on earth would you want to go through all the trouble of getting an Irish Sky Subscription? Besides RTE1 you only get RTE2, TV3 (which more or less is a scaled down version of ITV) and TG4 which no one understands anyway and not to forget the rubbish Channel 6. Non of the ITV channels (except UTV) are on the Irish EPG and you miss out on BBC3 and BBC4 as well as loads of radio channels. The only half plus I see is getting some premier league games on Saturdays but that's it. Cheers

Blog Entries: 3 My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum. | That can't be answered with a yes or no, as there are many companies, some will be good and some not and only people with personal experience can answer the question. Companies offering cards from outside the region probably have to pay an agent in that country and the agent will need to make a profit as well, so the subscriptions will always be more expensive.

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100 | As Rolf says, get a subscription through a relative. Even if you manage to find a company they will always charge you more so that they can take their middle-man's cut.
