You don't need a card for the BBC and ITV channels.Any FTA satellite receiver will do.

You only need a SKY FTV card for CH4 and Ch5 Currently, and a suitable box.

No, it has to be a Sky card like this:-

Availaible from Sky for £20, or via a 3rd party from the net at a higher cost.

It is used for ch4 and ch5 and a couple of others it is known as the Freesatfromsky card.

An ex subscription card will also work, as long as it looks like the picture.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E /19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue

A card has to be first activated in a digibox. And then replaced back in it once a month or so to receiver the "stay alive" signals. A dragon doesnt pass the signals to the card.

Buy a digibox off fleabay to get it activated.
