Sky freesat channels disappear after ch125???

After some excellent advice from the forum I have installed my sky mini dish, sky digi box and aligned the dish...to a point.

may I just add at this point that I am a complete novice when it come to satellite digi TV

Apparently the sat I am aiming for is Astra 2,and by using the meter and skys services signal indicator I should get an indicated reading from the sky signal meter of 0002 07d4.I did manage to get this reading twice and everything appeared fine, but although the indicated signal strenght etc is high the signal reading is now 0002 07fd.
Let me add none of this means anything to me??

the main thing is that sky freesat appears to be working OK but all of a sudden I cannot get past CH125...from that point the set goes to "searching for listings please wait"...no matter how long I wait the other pages do not appear.

When first tuned in all channels did appear....so I am now totally confused..would really appreciate some advice in simple terms as to where I may have gone wrong?

My System: 43cm Dish, Sky Plus V2, Thomson DSI6210 Sky+160, Thomson DSI4214, FRACARRO PENTA 85cm, Invacom Twin, Moteck SG2100a H-H DiSEqC Motor, TF5000CI, TM-5200D, Sling Media, Rover ST-4, Rover SDM-1s, 57E to 58W, Tecatel 1.35m fixed on 28e, Pace D5430-N

Reboot, then software update by holding back up button for 30 secs until all lights light up whilst powering back on. All channels should load in the EPG.

My thanks for your reply, but although I attempted your advice by switching off digi box and then reconnecting with backup button pressed nothing occurred.I also attempted whilst switching on box, and also whilst box was on standby as I switched it on!

My setup is basic with an Amstrad DX400 sky digi box,a 43cm sky dish, and aimed as explained.
At one point I did have all the channels.
Could the fact that the sat signal is 0002 07fd and not 0002 07d4 be the reason that I am not getting all listings???

As stated earlier I really am a novice at this game, but appreciate any assistance

Should be 07d4.
Different transport stream numbers can happen some times and the receiver will need rebooting.

Can also happen if the signal is dropping out too !

Power down receiver.
Hold back up button on front of receiver, not remote.
Apply power and keep back up button pressed unit all lights on front of the box light.
Should take 10 minutes to finish, then reboot and wait for searching for listings and then channel 998.

Press TV guide and all channels should be there as long as you have at least a viewing card in.

Thanks again for your patience.
Things are improving I now have Ch101-169 and Ch415.

One major concern screen has now turned Red.....whilst screen is red the remote operates normally on the channels available to me,but they also display in red.

by pressing TV button on remote screen returns to normal but remote then becomes inoperable?

Would you suggest another reboot?

can I stabilize screen back to sky's blue and white pages?

Would I also need to ensure signal reading is 0002 07d4 as oppossed to present reading of 0002 07fd?Does it make much difference?

Once again my thanks

My System: Darkbox 2008, Liberty FTA reciever, Humix Foxsat HD, Thomson Sky+, motorised H-h 80cm dish, Zone 1 sky+, BtVision and My 37" baby on the wall.

It could be a couple thing making the scrfeen red,
firstly i would check the scart lead in correct and that its in good condition,
also if the remote is not working as it should try resetting the remote.

RESETTING THE sky REMOTE
· Press TV BUTTON on Remote,
· Press and hold the SELECT and the RED buttons for 2 seconds, (LED flashes twice).
· Key in 999, (LED flashes twice).

hope it helps.

Don't wish to make a marathon out of this,or to waste people's time,so one more go and the I'll get the professionals in and (Ouch!) Pay to have dish aligned.

The screen is now back to normal with remote working fine, but no matter what I cannot get signal to deviate from 0002 07fd apparently it should be 0002 07d4

Am I pointing at right sat?

is there anything I can do to improve signal readout.....?

On sky services ,signal strength and signal quality is a good 90%

But I am still not getting the channels????

0002 indicates you are on Astra2. The receiver should default to 07d4 stream.

£50 for a professional installer to attend a fault is cheap if this covers call out and labour.
