Super secret channels...

Hi again,

Am new to the forum, so am not sure if this has been done before...

A while ago I was in Austria on holiday and the place had a satellite dish. One evening after skiing I was flicking through some foreign channels and found live Champions League football on some bizarre Eastern European fta channel.

Also have watched Eurosport UK under a random number channel in Czech Republic...not forgetting the wonderful TTon4 channel and the BBC Interactive streams (all of which seem to show sport!)

So...my question is, are there any really interesting channels, regular features, free stuff on absolutely random channels that you have stumbled on...

Cheers
Mark

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

No, these channels will be from other satellites, Eurosport English language is transmitted in Analogue free to air on Astra 19.2 (the old sky satellite cluster), apart from the BBC interactive screens, which are of course on Astra 28.2 and well known to the out of zone viewers who are unable to receive Astra 2D.

Depends on what you are after, presumably sport FTA channels.
Hot Bird has a lot of Italian FTA channels and there is one or two sports channels there.
Also the German channels might give some special sport events, but not as a dedicated channel. You need to check the website or teletext programming.
Eurosport is encrypted.

My System: Dbox + Skystar2, 2.2m Kinhuge Dish with Inverto LNB and Invacom ADF-120 feedhorn. Pace 1.3.25 and 80cm for Sky.

Hotbird has Eurosport Int - which is broadcast in English, as does Intelsat 10-02.
Intelsat 10-02 carries some Czech channels that show Champions League footy, and Galaxie also shows English footy with English commentry.
I wouldn't call them secret though.
(and they are encrypted)

Am already an avid fan of the said site...I suppose I could always wire my PC up to my telly, same difference as all this technical SAT gubbins!

Am looking for the equivalent of Sat1 in Germany, which shows Champions League on a Wednesday...examples would be ITV in England (also some CL matches). Wonder if anyone has a list of this.

PS. I do watch stuff apart from sport, one channel I have found is called Rockstar (or similar), was some good music on there last night.

Maybe I dont mean "secret", more "understated"!
