Hello!
any news about this?
i heard the rumour that sky will lunch a hd package that will contain 270,on the 31,5 Astra Satelite!
but ,when they will start?
maybe the rent, the complete satelite again
like, when the starting,20 years ago,to the old videocrypt times,on astra!

does this new positon, that also have special uk beams?

but this is the old sirius satelite, that astra bought,if i remember right, and this was still many years in service!

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Can't see that they would launch anything on that satellite, unless it was a service not destined for the UK.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue

31.5E is a Turkish/East European slot!

The main bird there is Astra 5A - an elderly sat formerly known as Sirius 2. The beams are NOT favourable to the UK.

Hello!
yes at the moment!
but remeber, that is now also the old sirius 2,now called astra 3A on this position, since ses bought it!
so i could also imagine, that they bought the rights,to use the 31.5 east postion, with turksat simulatniesly!

on 28.5 there are no more backup transponders, when many hd sky channels will starting, and the type,to 2012,when the analouge swtich off on normal astra, will be done,is very long!
until that day,40 transponders,of currencly used by analog channels are free then!
enough for many hd channels!
