Warner Shows On Sky One

Sky One and Warner Bros. International Television today announced the acquisition of a new slate of programming.

Tarzan and Jane, Nip/Tuck, Fearless and two new Jerry Bruckheimer projects, Skin and The Untitled Bruckheimer-Stiehm Project will form the cornerstone of Sky One's primetime winter schedule.

These programmes will launch in the US this autumn and will be seen exclusively in the UK on Sky One starting in January 2004.

Sara Ramsden, controller of Sky One, said: “With these shows Sky One really can claim to have the best of US TV first. Nip/Tuck, featuring Joely Richardson, is the most edgy, intelligent drama to come out of the US for several years. It is 'must see' programming, with the most jaw-dropping plastic surgery sequences ever seen on TV. Fast, edgy, vibrant and fantastic entertainment.

“Tarzan and Jane, brings the most eagerly anticipated male drama debut in Australian model Travis Fimmel, with some of the most exciting sexual chemistry I've ever seen. It's wonderful escapist romantic drama.

“Skin combines a touching young love story with a hard-edged Bruckheimer-driven battle of wills between a porn king and the D.A. It's high octane, spirited TV.

“Together with Fearless and The Untitled Bruckheimer-Stiehm Project, these shows will be at the heart of Sky One's winter schedule and typify Sky One: great fun, sexy, high quality, intelligent and entertaining.”
