American broadcaster Fox Network is to give Sky One a run for its money when it goes in direct competition by launching a UK entertainment channel in January 2004. The details, which have been published in this week's issue of Broadcast magazine, lists that the new channel, unnamed as yet, will be available in Sky's basic monthly pack and will be ranked in the lower ranks of the sky digital EPG. The new channel will be competing alongside Sky One and other UK broadcasters for TV rights of its shows such as Temptation Island, American Idol, The Simpsons and Paradise Hotel. | ||
