BSkyB has hit its 7 million subscriber target three months ahead of schedule, according to figures published to co-inside with the network's 5th anniversary of digital broadcasting. Sky has now set a target of 8 million customers by the end of 2005. The news comes as Chief Executive Tony Ball prepares to step down after a decade with the satellite broadcaster. In other news from BSkyB, rumours are doing the rounds that people who take the top Sky World package could have a hike in their subscription prices. The price could rise from £38 per month to £40 per month at the start of next year. Sky has said it wants to increase the amount of money it gets from each subscriber so this hike would be part of this policy. | ||
