Does Sky digital box pick up channels after subscription is cancelled?

Hi,

I was wondering if after you cancel the subscription to sky digital whether the viewing card and box will still pick up channels? Is it possible to pick up 'Freeview' channels through the box after subscription channels have been cancelled? I have subscribed to Sky for more than 2 years so the box is mine now.
