Can't view BBC Prime today?

Hi Chaps
BBC Prime, which I was getting from 13e on 11117v has gone dark today. I wonder has Globecast changed encryption? Any information?
Hopeful!

BBC Prime should be FTA

According to Lyngsat, they are encrypted in Viaccess 2.3 and 2.5
I am surprised that this channel is not FTA.
Surely the BBC would like to have viewers in other parts of Europe and the Middle East to enjoy some English programming and this way help them to grasp the English language.
Let's face it, they have nothing there but repeats so they can forget about a DTH subscription, unless they give substantial discount for the following years renewals.
I mean apart from BBC World which is FTA, there is absolutely no other British channel on Hot Bird 13E which is FTA.
The Italian have at least 50 FTA channels last time I checked and the German more than 10 channels.

Apart from the fact that of the FTA Italian channels, there are probably only half a dozen of any quality, how many italian FTA channels are there on Astra 28.2 East where there are well over 50 FTA English language channels?

Wink No luck for East*enders then!

According to Wikipedia, BBC Entertainment has replaced BBC Prime on several packages, and shows much of the same content. My real problem is that the Missus can't watch East*nders now, as it's not on BBC Entertainment!
That doesn't mean I'll be subscribing DTH though!
However Cyfrowy Polsat on Hotbird 13east is rapidly becoming one of the best providers of English language programming;
currently available is:
BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge, Cbeebies, BBC Lifestyle, Discovery World, Discovery Science, HBO, HBO2, HBO Comedy and Cinemax.

Encryption is still Nagra2. Subscription is a possibility, and quite good value.

If it is any consolation, sometimes teletext page 888 on BBC Prime from Globecast shows the English subtitles even for encrypted channel, but unfortunately black screen. At least one can follow what is going on with the episode. Need a bit of imagination and guessing who is actually speaking. Might be a good game for a laugh.
BTW: Eastenders today at 17:00 (time from teletext) has English subtitles.
I agree with you that Cyfrowy Polsat has a good selection of English
speaking channels and I am thinking of getting a subscription myself.
You can add Animal Planet to your list (in English) from Cyfra+

Thanks HB13Dish I'll add Animal Planet.
Re your problem bittihuduga with not being able to see the BBC channels, perhaps you could try deleting them from your Kaon's channel list, then rescan Hotbird on manual scan.
I had this problem trying to get the HBO channels. It turned out that my Fortec Star could see them when scanning, but would not save them to the channel list as it had a full set already. Unfortunately those were Seca Tps, so it couldn't add the newer Nagra encoded ones. Deleting the Seca entries and rescanning solved the problem.

OK! According to whatsoever!! It would be interesting if we'll be receiving them in Asia too. Not only for Europe. I'm ready to pay or if I've to be charged what's the problem for the Sky or Other ones? Ha?
