C-band on 1.2m offset andrew cm dish

I have ordered a c-band lnb-f from the usa and am going to make a 60mm lnb holder for the 1.2m andrews for it,

I will post some pics soon,

If any one has any ideas about making a 60mm lnb holder for the 1.2m andrew channel master feel free to post them here

You will struggle with a small dish like 120cm to get more than 4-5 C-band channels at threshold.

You need a "real" dish at least 240cm or above to get any enjoyment out of it.

Anyway, here is my 120cm Andrew with original C-band feed and and California Amplifier LNB i have experimented with.

I know that it is a small 1.2m andrew but it is called p*ssing about with the dish and being createive lol i install dishes and broadcast gear for a living i can put a big prime focus dish up but these is no point untill i move home in september then i will put my 1.8m prodelin up for ku-band and a prime focus up for c-band as my new house has a huge garden,

I also use to have two of the andrews c-band feedhorns 1 for linear and 1 for circular but i have not seen them i think the got lost when i moved 2 years ago i use to use them on a 1.8m andrews hwich worked well and i use to pull in loads of c-band stuff but i use to leave it on 68.5 east for MC Africa, I can get replacements as i have a trade account with andrews but the uk trade price is over the top,

Where did you buy your c-band feed and is it the linear of circular version and how much did they cost you,

Actually i don't have the feed anymore as i borrowed it from my friend who runs a business.

Don't know the actual cost but i removed it as the dish was too small for any enjoyment.

As you can see the feed legs are not the normal ones but legs i got from my friend which is made for another Andrews dish he grabbed it from.

So i guess you need the correct legs, the feed and holder.

i forgot to mention about offset scaler ring,_www.satshop24.de do them for about 59 euro with or without a lnb, with c-band lnb it cost about 86 euro,a bit pricey.

the strongest satelites in cbands are on 49 e yamahl arabsat 26 e,and 5 w telecom, here are the rfi channels and one from the country guadeloope near belize city where i was 2 years ago on holiday!
this type of offset feedhorn, what i have and see on the picture only works on offset antennas, not prime focus!
on satshop24,there is a new lnb from a rusian company, called panorma 13 kelvin!

the best lnb i have is a gardiner 12 kelvin imported from brazil,it performce very good, like a norsat lnb for only 20% of the price !

what multichoice is working with 1,80 m andrew in uk?
in a earlyer post, channel hopper told us,he has no signal,on this polastisaiton with 3,60 m mesh in london!

the indian dordashans, are very low @ the moment i have only sigal in the night, not on day time,on 40,5w,you have signal on aproxmently 50% of the transponders with 1,20m but not all,!
does andrew also have a cband feedhorn, for the 3 meter channel master to ofer,i only have kuband feeds...
but i will use my seavey feed now after the antenna instaled, the only problem is,that i dont have a 24 Volt DC Reveiver,to controll the seavey..the servo motor, does not acept..36 v,only some old echostars can do this..

hello!
most receiver, suports cband, but not all, espasely, the older models, when it not support ntsc like mediamaster 9800 you only here the sound, and have black screen,or it is imposible,to enter other lof then universal!
also,on newer stbs, not work @ all my kathrein ufs 910 want save 05150 lof
technomate i think its the same then clrarc tek, normaly it should work, without any problems!
on telestar 12.5 w ,there are ntsc feeds of cnbc usa, tune this freqency, and if you see picutre, your reveiver is fully ntsc comparible, other wise check the technical spezifikations,on the net !

if i rember right, fortec star, has to diferent versions,of the ultra modell, one for europe, that supports only pal,and the other for ntsc region only usa!
also,it is posible,to change firmware, into each modell, but you must change the bootloader first, otherwise, the receiver, will not boot anymore!
