Very good are you using the 65mm lnb holder which you can get for the 1.2m fortec star which you can see here http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/S/LNBHolder3.htm also the Conical Scalar ring which they sell looks good http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Order/LNBFS/C-Band-LNBF.htm

Do you have any pic of you dish with the c-band lnb on it you can post up,

Hello,

I would say that you need a >5m dish.

Here in south western of Germay I only get a few frequencies with small and weak signal.

Best Regards
Edgar.

yes there are many test cards on it,signal,on daytime,is lower then on night time!

what is the strongest transponder at the moment?
would be very intresting,to find out the difrence between 3,60m mehs and 4,5 m andrew on p.a.k sat,dx quwer and you should make a blindscan, lets say, tomorow, evening @ 20 h,and find,to find out,how many channels more ,the andrew antenna can catch!
i hope you have good signal on the rusian ntv channels on 36 east to in kuband?

Hello,

in case of 38°E in Germany, this is not true!

Best signal is here ~ between 10.00 GMT+1 and 13.00 GMT +1. Some times signal quality is different later/sooner.

Power TP are (for me) 4104 H and 4055 H. I didn´t get anything from vertikal polarisation.

Best Regards
Edgar.

Hello Glenn_911,

no, this list is about 2 years old and not up to date!

It´s more important to have frequencies of strong satpositions for 120cm dish and not, how much programms you can get with 120cm .

Regards
Edgar.

Though defeated by the evil Fresnel this warrier will return victorious!
Talking Conical Feedhorn

This device makes a huge improvement on C Band Offset dish systems.

To get construction details search Walrus1957.

Also WS International sells a good Conical Feedhorn for a fair price.

@ Edgar , Glenn send me the PM of You with the list of freq.
In that PM You are mention , its better to use a waveguide instead of the dielektrikum .
Can You tell me what that look like and how it works ?
I already found signal (and picture) at 40.5 W TP 3.977 TV BRASIL
Signal to on 55.5 W TP 4.134 but coded

Test done with Maxplus 2100 and Fibo gregorian dish .
Steered by Pace MSP 995
Corotor with no scalaring at all in front of the subreflector .

My soldering iron is smoking all the time .

Hello Trust1,

a Waveguide feed brings about ~3dB, that´s much especially for small dishes. If you use a dielecrtica plate you loose more signal (dB).

For PFA you must use a scalarring in front of the feed for C-Band!

If you want to see fotos of my dish with the waveguide feed, have a look here: _http://forum.dxtv.de/wbb/thread.php?threadid=7883&threadview=0&hilight=&hil ightuser=0&page=15

Best Regards
Edgar.

Thanks , the org. KU-feedhorn on the Fibo gregorian dish has a diameter of 90 mm .
On his place I put the polarotor , i've tried it with PF scalaring , TRF (conical feed) and a home made 95 mm scalaring .
The best result was brought by the plain corotor , but the same result came with the 95 mm ring , therefore I have to move the polarotor further away from the subreflector .
Since the subreflector (230 mm) brings a spot of ± 90 mm , I think its useless to use a scalaring .

I've tried it also as a normal Offset dish , but that did'nt work better .
