Germany is a pretty big place your precise location would be more useful or your longitude, however looking at the footprint it would appear you are right on the limit with that, your dish would be looking at the horizon. The further East you are the more chance you would have of reception but line of sight could also be a problem. According to the footprint map for Telstar 10 a 1.5mtr dish should be enough if it is above your horizon and you have line of site, it is too close to call just from your given location of Germany. What channel were you hoping to get?

Cannot help you out there, have absolutely no chance in the NW England of receiving those C band transmissions the satellite is below the horizon to me, you will need a C band lnb and I just had a quick look at the specs of your PVR it does not appear to handle C band but I would recommend you check with humax themselves before buying another receiver. _http://www.humaxdigital.com This is just a hobby I am not in business and have no experience of C band transmissions.

| i'll check out the other humax receivers so 1.50cm dish will do the job then? should it be mesh or offset? what sort of c-band LNB in this case? local satellite shops seem to have very little knowledge on c-band stuff here in germany thanks again | ||

hello to all, i saw this and wanted to see if anyone has any information on this satellite. the c band reaches all of europe and italy it comes in at 39 dbw or in c band terms a 1.60 meter should work fine here. at 3.960H there is a hbo asia packet and it uses digicipher 2. the same packet used in all asia. this hbo asia is almost the same as the usa packet ,the programing is all in english,no subtitles and a week behind gthe usa. transformers the move just played in the usa on hbo and its on 21 dec on hbo asia. other satellite lists say this in not there anymore, some say it is still there. if anyone has any information please feel free to give any advise. thanks ralph
