Hello

Welcome to the forum kedarnathin

Ok well firstly I assume you are inserting the card the correct way up .

secondly, in the specs for the omega it states two embedded card slots, but fails to say what cam software is incorporated to work in conjunction with the slots. Are you able to tell from the menu? If it is not viaccess then that is why you channel will not descramble

Have you tried the other slots cards both ways up?

Unhappy fortec star omega and viaccess.

thank you topper for your reply.....

i have checked in the users manual- page number 6 says...........

9. SMART CARD INTERFACE (for Embedded CAS models only)
To watch scrambled channels, you should insert a smart card, which has been issued by the service provider, into the Smart Card Interface slot. You can watch only a specific range of channels with entitlements in the smart card. The smart card includes information to decipher parameters necessary for descrambling the program.

when i looked at google images it is looks like a credit card with chip.
it is the same what i got viaccess...... see the pic..

is all the card to be inserted the chip looks down or not?.....

it is space to insert only like a credit card thick....

i think you have enough information to help my problams....

thanks
kedarnathin......
