Dat File To Bin File

How can I convert a Dat file to a Bin file? I uploaded a firmware from an Interstar 8005 ci to my PC and it copied in Dat format. I want to download it into my receiver but the loader is rejecting it as its not in Bin format. How can I convert it to Bin. Anyone knows, plse help. Tnx.

Try just changing the suffix to bin.

I tried changing the suffix to bin yet it didn't work. The loader says its a wrong file.
