Master codes

As someone new here I am still intrigued by the master codes which you can download. I have a Technomate 5000 system which isn't listed on the website given. I don't expect anyone to respond on the forum publically (too many already I suppose) but if someone could reply privately about how to use them and what I need to do step by step I'd be VERY happy. Just what do you do with master codes?

if you have a TM5000 d,this is FTA.
if you have TM5000 ci model,you can buy
yourself a cam,i have a dragon myself,then
you can find the files on many sites.you get
yourself a card programmer to load the files
onto the card,and then your card goes into
the cam to program the cam.

I recently purchased a TM5000 ci and according to another site, patches are no longer available.Best idea is to get diablo cam and cas3+ and use ci.Many german and spanish channels will work this way.Athough regular updates will be required.
