Problem updating FreeX-TV cam's firmware from FunCard7

Earlier I did somehow manage to update the FreeX-TV cam from v0.78 to v1.16 using the Funcard7. Programmed using FunProm 3.0 with camloader.hex in Flash and JokerV116_fun5_kamilz.hex in the external eeprom.

The cam did appear to update as I could go into the Conditional Access menu and see the "Module" had initialised. Plus I could navigate to and select the version, channels options when I pressed select/ok on the remote.

However I tried to update the cam again as it did not appear to be clearing channels.

I think I did not leave the cam/funcard in long enough ... I later found info on the internet that sometimes Echostar receivers don't give feedback on the cam update progress and you have to leave the cam/card in for at least 4 minutes.

Now when the IRD powers up with the Joker/Ice cam in it, the cam appears to initialise as it is displayed in the common interface menu as "Module" but I now cannot select and get any options by pressing the okay button.

The problem now is that when I switch on the IRD with the cam & FunCard7 inserted and on a FTA channel sometimes I get the prompt:-

The two options No and Yes are displayed with No being the default.

The problem is that I can't respond to the prompt with the Yes option, No is the default. The down arrow won't move to the Yes option, it simply exits the prompt and changes the channel down.

As I don't have access to a CAS interface I was hoping that someone could provide advice on how to perform the cam firmware update again from the FunCard7. I found a "Jokererasev1" zip archive on the Internet which I though might help. This has a loader for the flash and two FunCard4 eeproms - is it possible to convert the two Funcard4 eeprom files into one FunCard5 eeprom file which I can load onto the FunCard7. Also is it okay to program a FunCard7 with the external eeprom file for a FunCard5 and is the camloader.hex for all Funcards?
