RS232 port on Cas 3+ to Receiver?

Does anyone know is it possible to use the RS232 port on Cas 3+ to interface to Receiver with null modem cable for those of us with USB only laptops?

It should be possible as the CAS3 interface allows full speed data through the RS232 port, try it and report back.

If not, then a USB to RS232 interface lead would set you back about ten pounds.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

Thanks for encouragement but I have not got a female to male gender changer needed for my female female null modem lead to try it out which is why I posted in the hope one of our experts could confirm before I spend out.
