Just put it back in her box and it should wake up when it gets the update signal.

it depends on what the messages are on the screen (and if you are using it in a sky receiver or not!)

normally sky card will work in any sky receiver - for the "6 mix" channels, and not the sports and movuies channels. For these two you will see the "this is the wrong card for this set top box".

HOWEVER

I have also seen this message as part of the new card change over...it appears ON ALL ENCRYPTED channels if your sky card has not been paired to the box and sky have sent the new card out....if it was paired then you would see the "insert new card" message.

Not exactly sure..

But i would think sky noticed that it was not in the box that it was married to.. so ther-fore it will not work..

It should work again after you put it back in your mothers box and it gets an update..

take the box and the card next time.. lol

Would the fact that Sky see to be sending out updates to the blue cards on an almost daily basis have caused this, because as has been stated the only channels that should not open are the movies and sports,

My blue cards are getiing two day extensions nearly every day

your card worked ok in another receiver until sky sent the messge that your new card has been posted.

this message then checks to make sure you are using the cad in the correct box - as this is required to activate the new card. it shows the "not correct card" as a warning that you are not using the card in the correct box, to call sky, as you will not be able to activate your new white card in the nonpaired receiver...

so both you old and new card will not only work in your mums receiver (or the one that the card is originally paired).

if you want TV use your mums receiver...
or get her white card when it has been activated!

lets just say that during this card swap phase there have been some interesting reports....
including the freesatfromskycards being able to record and playback FTA channels in Sky+ receivers, some "replaced" blue cards still working ok in sky receivers...for all (inc sports and movies) channels...old cards still workinng in nosky receivers...
i suppose things will not be 100% until the old NDS2 encryption is totally switched off...
