SIM Editor for Elvis

Having fallen out with Cellular Operations Ltd because of their incompetence and unacceptable sales practices, I now find myself having to transfer all the stored telephone numbers on 2 mobiles to SIM cards from my new provider. Anyone know of reliable software which I can use to undertake this task on my Elvis Programmer?

Thanks, Rolf. The nearest Carphone warehouse is some distance away but, given the amount of data to be transferred, the journey may be worthwhile.

There are some programs on the Hackers Russia site
http://www.hackersrussia.ru/Cards/cards_eng.php

Program GSM SIM SCAN v1.33 (Jun 2 2002) by Dejan Kaljevic
Program for SimCard Editor, edit Phonebook, SMS, ReFormat Simcard
Program for R/W GSM and other SmardCards
Program: Universal Chip Explorer (R/W)
And some others
Can't say if they work with the Elvis programmer.
AD Tcknik say soon there will be an Windows software for reading and editing information on sim-cards
http://www.adteknik.se/english/program.html

I think that most of the Sim software uses the Smartmouse programmer.see:
http://www.maxkingtunisia.com/uk/picsoftgsmedit.htm

there is also SimCard Editor for Kids 2.02

Even more, there is a SIM adapter which you can buy making it easier to program. from this site:

Thanks, nobbly. the adapter looks very useful. I was wondering how I would be able to align the pins with the contacts. I'll try the sites you mention. Ad Tek has been saying for some time that there will soon be a Windows program for editing SIM cards. I wait in hope.

There are 2 other options regarding saving your sim information.

You could buy a connection cable

Or if your Phone has Infra Red you could use it with a portable computer equipped with IR or buy an IR add on. Cost about £25
