Question Platinium card - used for ?

Hello forum. Nice to be here and I hope to learn something.

I am a newbie in the domain so don't mind if I sound stupid.
I have a Platinium card and I want to know more about this card and if it can be programmed and how. I have read the Duwgati page and it does not say nothing specific about the Platinium cards (all other types are mentioned)
I have also searched the forums for docs and questions about it and found only 4 topics but not related to my questions.

So the questions are :
What is this card good for ?
What cand be used for ? (thinking at DVB)
Some specifications ?
What software I need to read / write etc ?

Thank you in advance.
