Silver card problem

Hello,
I have a humax 5400 patched and my silver card is giving me grief.When i insert the card ,Smart card extracted pops up.
I think that is is goosed.
Has anybody got any ideas?

Does your programmer recognise the card Benny? If it does, it may be that the card is just slightly loose in the card reader of the /humax.

Ive put the original firmware back in,re patched the receiver and re proggrammed the card.All to no avail. But now if i try to program the card the programmer will not write to the eeprom.
Ive had the system for 3 years and this is the only problem so its a bit odd. Ive also got a gold card and its not writing this either.
the programmer is a millenium with cardmaster software.

Any ideas ?

I've no experience with the Millennium/Cardmaster combination. I use an Elvis and Multiprog 3.4/3.5. However, on the odd occasion that I've had problems with card recognition, I've used the erase function on the programmer and started from scratch, as if I were using a new card. That has always sorted the problem.

Not sure, ive had it updated once so it can do silver cards,but it wont do fun etc.

Also Benny, try cleaning the contacts on the card with meths or similar. I get card recognition problems with my programmer and this clears it.
