new to this and need some advise

hello everyone, ive just got my dish up with 2 lnbs on astra and hotbird. the shop that fitted it also sold me a funcard and programmed it for most of the channels. ive got a few questions.

how long can i expect it to last before it needs reprogrammed?
why is there so many cards and whats the differences?
if i was to buy a programmer what one would you recommend and do you know a retailer?
where can i find out information on reprogramming the cards?
how many times can i reprogramme a card?

thanks guys

based on the information posted on duwgati, the infinity USB does not do MOSC. Otherwise, it is a very good programmer.
