GoldCard,Viaces CAM and Multipro/cardpro

Hello everybody

I have a question about programming a goldcard.

I have tried to use picbined to edit keys wich i did but The Question is:
Should I use picbined to program the EEPROM or should I use my multpro programmer to do this????
I tried writing to eeprom with picbined but always got a wrong massege like....(writing eeprom failed, looprequest1.....)

I've moved this post to the appropriate section.

Use a dedicated programmer, not an editor.

Thanks a lot!!

A dedicated programmer like multiPro, right??

Well I used the multiPro to program both pic and eeprom....it went well but I never got the card working.
what went wrong??
When i shove it in, i get this massege: "Wrong smartcard inserted....insert another smartcard"

Why I wasnt sure about using picbined is due to that picbined got a tab, like Write and Read( and another: send to Card).

No need to post the same question twice. You won't get an answer any faster.

Check the file, make sure it's one that can be read by your via cam.

Some cards need the Pic to be reprogrammed into pass mode before the EEprom can be reprogrammed, then back to the programme mode.

So you may need three different bits of software.

What does the receiver say when interrogating the card through the CAM ?

Are you using a Black or Red Viaccess CAM ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, it is a long time since I have used a gold card, but don't you program the PIC and Eeprom? In my experience, the term Flash is used in conjunction with Atmel cards, are you using the correct programming mode?

...and can you read the card thro' cardpro to see if it has written the files?

Try the viasat file again to see if the card is recognised in the cam. (You won't be able to clear viasat channels, obviously).

when i insert card into the CAM(within Reciever) it says: wrong card inserted" And i have got RED CAM.

I think i use the wright program mode...JMD for PIC and PHEONIX 6.00 Mhz for EEprom.

I im not sure about how to read the card through cardpro. there is a READ tab...when i ask it to read the card it reads but it dosnt tell what is inthe card.

Is there anyone who programmed a card with Cardpro??
Before i started programming the card, reciever used to say" no wright"

RedCAMs are notorious for not understanding whats being sent by un official cards

Run it through a Black CAM or an embedded receiver first.

(Is the Red CAM up to date ? - 12092 H on Hotbird used to update them automatically)
