sky

why cant sky be hacked?
surely its like most cas systems and how come no one has made a cam for sky?

My System: Sky HD, TM6800HD, Manhattan Plaza ST550 and TM1500 CI+. 1.0m dish and 36v motor, Panasonic DVD HDD recorder and Panasonic video/DVD recorder. Sony G800 HD TV stand/surround system + Sony KDL40W2000. Infinity USB, Elvis, CAS1, CAS2.

Second generation encryption has not been hacked, e.g. Seca2, IRDETO2 or Viaccess 2. NDS the encryption Sky uses is uncrackable at the moment and cards are tied to digiboxes so cannot be used in another without going through Sky.

Here in NZ, our boxes are not tied to our cards. I can get my friends card and watch with it. I am connected to sky digital which uses NDS Videoguard encyryption. Currently logging data but not making much sense from it.....

My System: Topfield 4000PVR with Aston 1.07 CAM, (canaldigitaal), dragoncam, Sky digibox, Bush HD Freesat, Visiosat trisat looking at Astra1, Astra2 and Hotbird.

There might be a CAM that will work with sky in the making, see:
